Who is responsible

Kenner Systems Inc., 2261 Market Street #83475, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States, is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. Contact: lennart.wendt@kenner.work, +1 415 505 6709.

Our representative in the European Union under Art. 27 GDPR is Lennart Wendt, Helmholtzstraße 24, 10587 Berlin, Germany, lennart.wendt@kenner.work. You can contact the representative instead of us about any question on data protection.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to (Art. 37 GDPR).

What we collect, and why

Visiting this website

When you open this website, your browser sends the data needed to load it: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system. The website is hosted by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses for security purposes under its own privacy statement (docs.github.com). We do not receive or use these logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address. This can include a transfer to Google LLC in the United States. We use Google Fonts so the website displays consistently; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google Fonts sets no cookies. More information: fonts.google.com/faq.

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics or advertising tools.

Booking a call

Our booking links open a booking page in Google Calendar, part of Google Workspace, which we also use for email. Google LLC processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). If you book, we receive your name, email address and any details you enter, and use them to prepare and hold the call and to follow up afterwards. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in talking to businesses that are interested in our product (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The booking page runs on Google's website, where Google sets its own cookies and processes data for its own purposes under its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

We keep your contact details and notes from our calls in our customer relationship software and may use note-taking software during calls, which we mention at the start of the call. These providers act on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).

Contacting us

If you email or call us, we use your details to answer you and to discuss a possible collaboration with your company. Email is handled by Google LLC as our processor (Google Workspace). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and working with business customers (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you contact us as a sole trader about a contract with you, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Do you have to give us data?

No. You are not required by law or contract to give us personal data. Without the data your browser sends, the website cannot be shown. Without a name and email address, you cannot book a call.

Where your data is processed

We are a company based in the United States, and we process your data there. When you give us your data directly, for example by email or by booking a call, the GDPR still applies to how we handle it. The United States may not offer the same level of data protection as the European Union, for example regarding access by US authorities.

The service providers named above are also based in the United States: GitHub, Inc. (hosting) and Google LLC (fonts, booking page and email). Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has decided that it ensures an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR). You can check their certification at dataprivacyframework.gov.

How long we keep it

We keep booking details, emails and call notes while we are in contact about a possible collaboration, and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose, unless a contract follows or the law requires us to keep them longer, for example for tax records.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). To use any of these rights, email lennart.wendt@kenner.work.

Your right to object

Where we process your data based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We then stop, unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If we use your data to contact you about our product, you can object to this at any time and we will stop (Art. 21(2) GDPR). To object, email lennart.wendt@kenner.work.
